Eggplant Parmesan

So many steps-slice and salt the eggplant, extract moisture, roll in bread crumbs and fry and then layer with sauce, mozarella, and parmesan but worth it when you have all the time in the world. Restaurant quality goodness.

Champion Malasadas

We were the lucky customers to get the last 8 malasadas for the night! Perfect timing! The sour performance of Laurie in "Oklahoma" was off set by the sweetness of these malasadas. Owner of this shop is a former employee of Leonard's bakery.

The female lead, Laurie can either come off as flirty or irritating. This one was irritating. This was probably the longest 3 hours of my life. Nevertheless, it was nice hooking up with the Friedl ohana.

Bread Pudding

Have been trying to recreate the bread pudding that I recently had at the Halekulani Hotel. Portuguese sweet bread filled in for brioche and outcome was OK.

The best buffet at the most beautiful hotel on the island. Anna was equally impressed and asked her daddy if she could have her wedding there one day.
