More Red Velvet Cupcakes

Pretty little cakes for Rylee's little girl!

Yogur Story

I LOVE the fact that 2 of my favorite girls LOVE to eat! We ate so much at the new eatery Yogur Story that we had to waddle over to Ala Moana to work it off. Not only does Yogur Story serve great food like an assortment of waffles (red velvet, West Hollywood oreo flavored, and sweet potato) but the spacious, high ceiling, very SOHO decor is appealing to look at.

Tutus and the Grandkids

So cute, so adorable, and so funny!

Pho King

After feasting on Vietnamese summer rolls, garlic shrimp, and kalbi at Pho King, my colleagues and I were ready to tackle the stacks of finals waiting for us on our desks.

Madison and Company in Kailua

I cannot stop singing the praises of this attractive boutique. The owners Nikki, Rylee, and Paulette are so friendly and helpful that you can spend hours just gabbing about everything and anything. The wall colors, the decor and the merchandise make shopping a fun and happy experience.

Yarn & Needlecraft Strictly Christmas Store

You'd swear it was Christmas walking into this friendly and festive shop. Christmas villages of carousels, bakeries, and so much more are displayed.
Free knitting lessons on knitting are also offered-whimsical, educational, and fun!

Agnes' Portuguese Bake Shop

Clean, spacious, and fragrant with a friendly staff. Now I know where to get challah, and it's not in New York.

Philanthropy by Madison & Company in Kailua

One word....GORGEOUS. Nicky and Rylee welcomed us into another beautiful boutique. The merchandise, the decor, and the energy is worth the drive into Kailua. I especially loved the aquaponic garden that emphasized the theme of philanthropy.
A day with my dearest friend Angela is like a present-anticipated, cherished, and full of surprises! We rarely see one another but when we do it seems like I just saw her yesterday and it turns out to be the best day.

Cinnamon's Family Restaurant

People make a trek to Kailua for their red velvet pancakes and I understand why. They are fantastic and so worth the drive into the windward side of the island. The drizzle of the white chocolate sends my taste buds into overdrive. Tasty pesto fritata and a light and delicious mahi sandwich satisfied all our palettes.

If you like pecan pie, you'll love these bars. The cookie crust with a blend of brown sugar, flour and butter is divine.

Paesano Italian Restaurant

Handsome restaurant with a wide selection of dishes to satisfy any Italian craving. The Eggplant Parmesan was delicious but I believe I can make better. Nevertheless, we gathered to celebrated Maria's 30th birthday and she enjoyed every bite, especially the chocolate mousse cake

Happy 84th Birthday Dad/Happy Mother's Day

May 8 celebrates 2 important occasions-the birthday of my hero, my dad and Mother's Day. Can you believe this man is 84 years old?

Cinco de Mayo

Amazing! The secret ingredient is cheap Italian salad dressing which makes these tacos full of flavor and spice.

Happy Easter!

Food, friends, and family-Happy Easter!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Bar

A sweet version of a well loved combination from childhood. Definitely satisfies the peanut butter craving!

Lemon Chicken Soup with Spaghetti

A twist on a classic. Ridiculously easy with rotisserie chicken diced and added to the broth. Loved the way the lemon brightened the soup's flavor.

Chocolate Spice Cupcake

Who ever thought of combining chocolate and ginger is a genius! Too good to be served right side up. Flipped, drizzled with luscious chocolate ganache and decorated with a special garnish of crystallized ginger. Delicious!
